In order to protect our fans from abusive users who want to take advantage of our Community and our intellectual property we created this Policy to explain what you may do regarding your Fan Content.

This Fan Content Policy governs your use of PocApp Studios  ("PocApp") copyrights and trademarks from Castle Cats, Dungeon Dogs, Carpet Kitty and Sling a Kitty, including any related fan kits provided by us ("PocApp Assets") for Fan Content purposes.

Please read this Policy carefully before creating any Fan Content as it will govern your use of PocApp Studios intellectual property ("PocApp IP"). We reserve the right to change this Policy at any time through updated versions posted on our website.

Any existing fan content that does not comply with this policy must be unpublished or modified to be compliant with the Policy. We will not give warnings for violations of this Policy.

RULES FOR FAN CONTENT

• Fan Created Content. You may create Fan Content based on PocApp IP as long as you comply with this Policy. Any Fan Content that violates this Policy is prohibited. You cannot create new games based on PocApp Assets, such as games based on PocApp characters. Not even if they are free. Permitted fan-created content includes non-commercial fan-generated online guides and guide apps, fan meetups, fan pages and gameplay videos if they follow this Policy. Any content that violates this policy is prohibited.

• Online Only. You are not permitted to produce or distribute physical games or other goods that use any Game Assets without a separate, express written agreement between you and PocApp.

• Non-Commercial. Fan content created by you must have no commercial objective. If you utilize ads, they must comply with all applicable laws, rules, regulations and developer policies.

• Respect PocApp's brand. You cannot create the impression that PocApp is a sponsor or creator of or otherwise endorses your Fan Content. You also cannot create any materials from the PocApp Assets that are similar to PocApp's logos, trademarks or other elements of PocApp's products and services. You can't modify PocApp Assets without a separate, express written agreement between you and PocApp.

• Don’t hurt others. Respect other people’s property. If you use another fan’s content without their permission, we may ask you to remove it.

• Insert disclaimers. Do include the following notice (or a substantially similar unofficiality notice) in a font legible to end users of the Fan Content in connection with your use of PocApp Assets: "This content is not affiliated with, endorsed, sponsored, or specifically approved by PocApp Studios and PocApp Studios is not responsible for it. For more information see PocApp Studios Fan Content Policy: www.pocappstudios.com/fan-content-policy."

OTHER TERMS

• Removal. We reserve the right to determine what kind of Fan Content we are OK with and can revoke your permission to create fan content at any time and for any reason.

• Developer policies and agreements. You must always follow applicable developer policies and agreements of the platforms you choose to share your Fan Content on.

• Our use of your Fan Content. We may from time to time use, improve or modify your Fan Content without compensation in a manner we consider reasonable, for example by using it in our games, reposting it in our online channels or using it in our marketing activities.

• Unpublished information and feedback. If you receive information from us regarding not-yet-published content, you need to keep that information to yourself and not disclose it to anyone else. Also, if you give us any kind of feedback, information or suggestions regarding our games or otherwise, you understand that we can use it without further compensation or other obligations to you.

 

We reserve the right to determine what type of Fan Content we are OK with and may revoke the limited use license in this Policy at any time and for any reason.

This Policy is part of the PocApp Studios Terms of Service, and we may modify them at any time. When using PocApp Assets for Fan Content purposes, your use is subject to the PocApp Studios Terms of Service (including any warranty disclaimers and limitations of liability). In the event a term of this Policy conflicts with a term of the Terms of Service, this Policy takes precedence with respect to any issues related to Fan Content.
